good morning.

1200 norah My sleep schedule is always wackadoodle.  But with this wedding season, I shoot a wedding just about every weekend from the first week of July all the way to the end of September.  A few of those weddings will be second shooting, but for the most part, I'll be the main shooter and bringing my "A-game".  Three weeks in and I've got a bit of a routine going on.  I try my best to stay in the day before the wedding.  I'll conserve my energy, check all my gear and prep for the next day.  When I get home from the wedding, I'm always exhausted.  And usually exhausted and sore for the following two days.  So more than ever I'm appreciating those early mornings.  They're more rare than usual, but when I do wake up early, I'm always happy I did.

(p.s. this picture I took of my niece was me encroaching in her own little morning routine. haha.)

work day.

I'm sitting here at my temporary desk in my sister's old bedroom.  I've spent the past three hours multi-tasking.  I'm a major multi-tasker thanks to lots of work and TeuxDeux.  (By the way, TeuxDeux has changed my life.  It makes this super-forgetful me extremely more efficient and rememberingable. It's the best to-do list program/app I have.  And it syncs through all my computers, ipad and iphone.  It's so great I even use it for running errands and shopping lists.)  So yes, I am doing work.  I'm also writing emails.  But I'm also breaking in my new peach flats while wearing an embarrassing matching of my striped leggings and my father's old blue polyester jersey.  (The same jersey that all my lovely hostesses or roommies have seen at one point.  It's the most modest sleep-shirt I own.  And for those of you who know I don't like hugging men who aren't my man friend, you know I love a little bit of modesty here and there.) I'm also listening to this amazingly beautiful sad song, "All I Want" by Kodaline.  Who doesn't love a band from Ireland?  I'm going to kidnap them when I go next year.  Fingers-crossed.

I love to ramble.  And so my rambling I shall continue.  Multi-tasking does that to me.  My mind is all over the place right now.

I just realized I mislabeled all my 2013 folders 2012.  Nuts.  I'm going to have to rename everything now.

My rambling can also be attributed to the two births I'm "scheduled" to photograph over the next couple of weeks.  I'm seriously anxious about shooting these two births.  Both ladies have already had their share of early contractions, so as it stands, I'm on call right now to go photograph their baby's births.  It honestly makes me very nervous.  I hope they don't have their babies on the same day.  I'd be really sad if I missed one of them.  But I'm so excited.  I love photographing births.  Let me say that again for emphasis.  I love photographing births.

And because posts are boring without pictures, here's a picture from Jessica & Ryan's wedding that I'm editing.  A really sweet moment between Ryan and his father.  I was tearing up when I took this picture.
