Dilemma

I've been debating whether or not to buy the Canon 5D Mark II, 24mm tilt shift and 17-35mm lens. In the end, of course traveling won out. I'm not nearly professional enough to rationalize buying new equipment when I can just rent when I shoot weddings or portraits. I look at my pictures and they may not have the greatest picture quality or the amount of depth that I'd like... but my pictures make me happy nonetheless. They're pictures that, in 60 years when I'm showing my grandchildren how crazy their old granny used to be, I will love and cherish and bask in the old school digital camera I used to have. When people see the grain or the out of focused subjects, I'll see me. It'll warm my heart to remember the experiences I was able to capture with my little o' 30D. :)

So there you have it. Peru + China + Ireland + Greece + Israel + Egypt won out.
