The Reunion

I arrived in New York in the middle of the night, greeted by my lovely hostess.  I fell right asleep and still a little jet-lagged, woke up to the call of my friend.  We had been planning to meet up that wednesday and spend the day catching up, but suspecting my exhaustion, he called to check up on me.  I pulled myself out of bed anxious to get some Korean food and get my New York legs on. As we walked through the city, we reminisced on past memories and our favorite spots in the city.  Finally we ended up at the pub of one of our first meetings.  Jokingly recalling the meet up and the booth we sat at.  We spent the day catching up and growing in our friendship.  Everything was so easy and natural.  That's how friendships should be.  Whatever distance or time separates two people, the strength in their friendship continues to move them forward.

I can't describe how grateful I am for the friends in my life.
