alt summit 2014 | Outfits
So I'm going to Alt Summit in Salt Lake City. I'm beyond excited. I may be a photographer, but I've found that bloggers are my people. I gather a lot of inspiration from the bloggers (not wedding or photography bloggers) that I regularly read. In fact I get a little flustered when I meet a blogger I follow. It's like meeting a celebrity! Anyway, I've found that I've learned a lot from other bloggers. They just get me. So for a change, I'm headed out to Salt Lake City for a some educational talks and networking and personal/professional growth. I love learning. I can't wait. Being my first Alt Summit in Salt Lake City (I went to the smaller conference in SF and loved it), I've been gathering tips and advice from other bloggers. Alt is a big on outfits. I'm not big on outfits. But some of the ladies I've been talking to have been posting some really great outfit inspiration for all the activities we'll be participating in at Alt. I loved reading their posts about their day outfits and night outfits, so I thought I'd do the same with my own spin on their idea. I'm all about texture and pattern in my clothes, so I thought I'd highlight that rather than the actual outfit (which isn't so interesting). Because let's be real… I live in button-ups, jeans, racerbacks and pencil skirts. I'm pretty boring outfit-wise.

Below: This is my outfit for the Green Party on Thursday night. It's a silk blouse and the Pegasus Necklace from Stella and Dot. I'm not much of a girly girl, and I can just imagine myself wanting to be in something comfortable. And, this is the only green piece of clothing I could muster up for a green-themed cocktail party.

Day Outfit: This is a patterned LOFT pencil skirt and a Joe Fresh chambray shirt with the Phoenix pendant necklace also from Stella and Dot. I'll be wearing leopard flats with this outfit. I live in pencil skirts. In fact I usually wear pencil skirts when I shoot a wedding.

Day Outfit: This is another day outfit that could easily be switched to night outfit. This is a part of maroon skinny slacks with a reddish orange sleeveless blouse. I love that the leopard scarf makes it very casual.

Day or Night outfit: This is a gray simple tank with a lazer cut silk layer on top. And I'll be wearing another pencil skirt. This one is a blush color with black polka dots. I'll likely wear plain flats with this outfit.
. . . . . . .
Day Outfit: I'm all about cozy and casual. So here's a plaid, flannel shirt with another stella and dot necklace. I'll be wear this fur cowl from ASOS with jeans and brown boots.

Day Outfit: Another casual outfit for the day. A silk racerback from MNG with jeans. A navy blazer from H&M and a lovely necklace from the ladies of 31bits.
