charleston | the history

Let's just get it out of the way. Charleston is freaking gorgeous. Visiting Jensine and Sam was perfect in so many ways. I loved all the spots and eats they took me took! Even with the closing of the bridge I saw so much of the beauty I've been hearing about Charleston.  When the weather finally cleared in Charleston, Jensine took me to Old Charleston where I was just in awe.  I understand why so many of my friends honeymooned there.  Muy romantico. oui. oui. (Are those three different languages? yikes!) The buildings  have so much personality and history… two things that are seriously lacking in California.  I'd stop to read plaques on sides of houses describe the notable persons who once lived in the houses. We wandered through the buildings and to the shore. Eventually we headed back to the car and at that point realized we forgot where we parked.  We knew the general area where the car was parked so even though we didn't exactly know where it was we did eventually find it. score.

Isn't Old Charleston just so beautiful?
