Lands End Engagement Session | Melissa & Alex

This is a year of friends.

People often ask me who my ideal client is. I think about it for a while, but it always goes back to the same thing.  My ideal couple is in love.  They're best friends who are always laughing. They cherish each other and have a way of spreading their immense love for each other to the people around them.  Their wedding is all about the celebration of their marriage.  These are the couples I crave to get to know and photograph.  And that is who Melissa and Alex are.  Best friends in love… the best way to be.

I know Melissa and Alex from when they were still in high school (or middle school), and I was already old.  I loved seeing their relationship grow and was so excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding.  Interestingly enough, Melissa's dad was one of my dad's groomsmen; her aunt when to college with my mom and her cousin is my oldest friend.  And Alex's mom and I are New York friends.  She's the one who introduced me to my hairstylist who cut off all my hair!

We had a fun (and windy) day at Land Ends for their engagement session.  I can't wait to photograph their wedding this Sunday. Yay! I'm so excited!
