People often ask me who my ideal client is. I think about it for a while, but it always goes back to the same thing. My ideal couple is in love. They're best friends who are always laughing. They cherish each other and have a way of spreading their immense love for each other to the people around them. Their wedding is all about the celebration of their marriage. These are the couples I crave to get to know and photograph. And that is who Melissa and Alex are. Best friends in love… the best way to be.
I know Melissa and Alex from when they were still in high school (or middle school), and I was already old. I loved seeing their relationship grow and was so excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Interestingly enough, Melissa's dad was one of my dad's groomsmen; her aunt when to college with my mom and her cousin is my oldest friend. And Alex's mom and I are New York friends. She's the one who introduced me to my hairstylist who cut off all my hair!
We had a fun (and windy) day at Land Ends for their engagement session. I can't wait to photograph their wedding this Sunday. Yay! I'm so excited!
This is just a teaser from Renee & Brian's session, but I already had trouble narrowing down my faves. We explored Muir Woods, some off-the-beaten-path trails and the Mission District for their engagement session. I had so much fun with them, I can't wait to go through all their images!
We were rightWe stood through it all Holding tight Whenever we fall What we found is second to none I knew, I knew, I knew this would be love I knew, I knew, I knew this would be love

I realize I never fully blogged Jessica & Ryan's Fort Point engagement session from earlier this year. But I absolutely loved it. It was a cold and boisterous day, and Jessica and Ryan just rocked it. I love windy, engagement-session days! Don't you?
